Narrative:

Cleared for taxi to runway 35R. Taxied to runway 35R and hold. Cleared for takeoff runway 35R. I saw the runway signs for runway 35R, and taxied on the runway. As I taxied on runway, I lined up for runway 31 and took off on runway 31. They are adjoining runways. Totally my fault. I was not paying good enough attention. As we took off, tower says, '...you just took off on runway 31 and you were cleared for runway 35R!' I looked down at directional gyroscope and sure enough, it was on runway 31. That's not a good feeling!

Narrative: CLRED FOR TAXI TO RWY 35R. TAXIED TO RWY 35R AND HOLD. CLRED FOR TKOF RWY 35R. I SAW THE RWY SIGNS FOR RWY 35R, AND TAXIED ON THE RWY. AS I TAXIED ON RWY, I LINED UP FOR RWY 31 AND TOOK OFF ON RWY 31. THEY ARE ADJOINING RWYS. TOTALLY MY FAULT. I WAS NOT PAYING GOOD ENOUGH ATTN. AS WE TOOK OFF, TWR SAYS, '...YOU JUST TOOK OFF ON RWY 31 AND YOU WERE CLRED FOR RWY 35R!' I LOOKED DOWN AT DIRECTIONAL GYROSCOPE AND SURE ENOUGH, IT WAS ON RWY 31. THAT'S NOT A GOOD FEELING!
