Narrative:

We were approximately 10 mi northwest of dfw when we lowered the landing gear at approximately 220 KIAS. A short time later, we heard a thump and I thought we might have hit a bird, but we didn't see any birds. We elected to continue because the aircraft indicated 3 green down and locked. We further heard what possibly was another thump, but could not be sure. As we slowed down, no other sound anomalies occurred. Postflt inspection revealed the top taxi light assembly completely broken off of the nose gear and hanging by the wire. No other damage was seen on aircraft. No apparent bird strike either.
