Narrative:
On climb out experienced electrical emergency abnormal about 10 seconds after turning off APU master on climb out. Followed procedures and started APU and landed at bos. I was only about 1 mi away. On short final EICAS extg and landed without incident. It was not a full electrical fail as some have thought -- it was an electrical emergency abnormal in VFR.
