Narrative:
I was just notified that an aircruiser's packboard that I recently worked on was reworked with a component maintenance manual supplement that was no longer effective. My lead, mr X, informed me that it was installed and as a result the aircraft was grounded and needed to be ferried home. The reason I used this outdated document was I was told by my lead it was going to be put in the cmm (component maintenance manual). Mr X was associated with the safety and standards committee for yrs so I was confident in his information.
