Narrative:

On feb/sat/04, I was assigned to perform a pre-departure check to inspect engine cowlings and inlets for ice/snow. However in accordance with gpm section 14-02 revised on jan/thu/04 I had not received engine deicing training. I was told this was a 'foreign object damage' inspection. B757 special procedure airworthiness directive 45-01-05 prohibits glycol for removing ice in the inlets. I witnessed this and was made aware of this airworthiness directive after departure.
