Narrative:

Aircraft X, a B737-800 was northbound at 9000 ft. Aircraft Y (an A320) was wbound at 10000 ft. Both aircraft were advised of the other and both aircraft advised that they had each other in sight. Aircraft X was then instructed to maintain visual separation with the A320 and climb to 12000 ft. Aircraft Y was told that the B737-800 was maintaining visual separation in the climb to 12000 ft. Aircraft X climbed at a rate so as to pass 100-200 ft below the A320. The A320 got a TCASII alert climb and climbed.
