Narrative:

The captain was PF while performing the FMS bridge visual runway 28R sfo. After successfully complying with all of the vertical and lateral portions of the visual approach, the captain made a left descending turn to line up on the runway 28R final approach course. His initial descent rate was slightly excessive and upon realizing this, he made appropriate corrections and stopped the descent rate. At the same time, we received a call from sfo tower stating 'air carrier X altitude alert, 1200 ft over the san mateo bridge.' the captain maintained 1200 ft MSL until he intercepted a normal GS and completed the remainder of the approach uneventfully, complying with all of air carrier X's stabilized approach criteria. At the time of the altitude alert call from tower, the aircraft was configured with landing gear down and the flaps at 30 degrees. The call from the tower surprised us because there is not a published altitude for crossing the san mateo bridge on the FMS bridge visual, only for the preceding fixes, which we complied with.

Title: B767-300 CREW CROSSED THE SAN MATEO BRIDGE AT 1200 FT. THE ATCT LCL CTLR ISSUED A LOW ALT ALERT.

Narrative: THE CAPT WAS PF WHILE PERFORMING THE FMS BRIDGE VISUAL RWY 28R SFO. AFTER SUCCESSFULLY COMPLYING WITH ALL OF THE VERT AND LATERAL PORTIONS OF THE VISUAL APCH, THE CAPT MADE A L DSNDING TURN TO LINE UP ON THE RWY 28R FINAL APCH COURSE. HIS INITIAL DSCNT RATE WAS SLIGHTLY EXCESSIVE AND UPON REALIZING THIS, HE MADE APPROPRIATE CORRECTIONS AND STOPPED THE DSCNT RATE. AT THE SAME TIME, WE RECEIVED A CALL FROM SFO TWR STATING 'ACR X ALT ALERT, 1200 FT OVER THE SAN MATEO BRIDGE.' THE CAPT MAINTAINED 1200 FT MSL UNTIL HE INTERCEPTED A NORMAL GS AND COMPLETED THE REMAINDER OF THE APCH UNEVENTFULLY, COMPLYING WITH ALL OF ACR X'S STABILIZED APCH CRITERIA. AT THE TIME OF THE ALT ALERT CALL FROM TWR, THE ACFT WAS CONFIGURED WITH LNDG GEAR DOWN AND THE FLAPS AT 30 DEGS. THE CALL FROM THE TWR SURPRISED US BECAUSE THERE IS NOT A PUBLISHED ALT FOR XING THE SAN MATEO BRIDGE ON THE FMS BRIDGE VISUAL, ONLY FOR THE PRECEDING FIXES, WHICH WE COMPLIED WITH.
