Narrative:
The plugs were installed and appeared locked in place. A locking bar similar to the one on the classic B737-300 aircraft, would probably prevent the detector from coming out of place.

Title: A B737-800 WAS DISPATCHED IN NON COMPLIANCE WITH 1 ENG CHIP DETECTOR NOT LOCKED. INCURRED INFLT ENG SHUTDOWN DUE TO LOSS OF OIL QUANTITY.
Narrative: THE PLUGS WERE INSTALLED AND APPEARED LOCKED IN PLACE. A LOCKING BAR SIMILAR TO THE ONE ON THE CLASSIC B737-300 ACFT, WOULD PROBABLY PREVENT THE DETECTOR FROM COMING OUT OF PLACE.
