Narrative:
Tug collision. We taxied out from the gate sbound for departure on runway 36R. As we taxied clear of the terminal, first officer yelled stop. I immediately applied the brakes and stopped. A bag tug moving rapidly towards us, hit the right forward side of the aircraft. Air carrier Y ramp control was in control of the ramp area and was notified. Crash fire rescue equipment arrived shortly afterwards. I made a logbook entry denoting aircraft damage. Flight attendant reported injury to her hand. Supplemental information from acn 600600: seeing possibility of a collision the first officer yelled stop and the captain stopped the aircraft. The tug skidded and struck the right forward fuselage.
