Narrative:

Under pressure to return home, I launched from omn into MVFR conditions. I had planned a route that would keep me clear of obstructions to cty, however, after 45 mins aloft in moderate turbulence conditions, my passenger and I sought shelter and relief near the bright lights of gnv. Calling gnv tower, I was informed they were under IFR. While approaching gnv, I very probably entered the airport's airspace. Also, maneuvering to avoid clouds, my altitude MSL was about 500 ft at one point. With a spot elevation of near 200 ft in gnv, the aircraft was only 300 ft AGL. Upon learning gnv was IFR, I turned west to continue to cty. I climbed to about 1000 ft, where I was clear of clouds. I saw a tower ahead and turned to avoid it. Although difficult to estimate at night, I figure that I passed 300 ft to one side. I continued to cty where my passenger and I recovered from nausea and nerves.

Title: A LOW TIME C182 PLT DEPARTS OMN ON A MVFR NIGHT OP, WHILE ENRTE IS IMC IN VFR FLT, IS TOO LOW OVER POPULATED AREAS AT 300 FT AGL, PENETRATES THE CLASS D OF GNV, MISSED A LIGHTED TWR.

Narrative: UNDER PRESSURE TO RETURN HOME, I LAUNCHED FROM OMN INTO MVFR CONDITIONS. I HAD PLANNED A RTE THAT WOULD KEEP ME CLR OF OBSTRUCTIONS TO CTY, HOWEVER, AFTER 45 MINS ALOFT IN MODERATE TURB CONDITIONS, MY PAX AND I SOUGHT SHELTER AND RELIEF NEAR THE BRIGHT LIGHTS OF GNV. CALLING GNV TWR, I WAS INFORMED THEY WERE UNDER IFR. WHILE APCHING GNV, I VERY PROBABLY ENTERED THE ARPT'S AIRSPACE. ALSO, MANEUVERING TO AVOID CLOUDS, MY ALT MSL WAS ABOUT 500 FT AT ONE POINT. WITH A SPOT ELEVATION OF NEAR 200 FT IN GNV, THE ACFT WAS ONLY 300 FT AGL. UPON LEARNING GNV WAS IFR, I TURNED W TO CONTINUE TO CTY. I CLBED TO ABOUT 1000 FT, WHERE I WAS CLR OF CLOUDS. I SAW A TWR AHEAD AND TURNED TO AVOID IT. ALTHOUGH DIFFICULT TO ESTIMATE AT NIGHT, I FIGURE THAT I PASSED 300 FT TO ONE SIDE. I CONTINUED TO CTY WHERE MY PAX AND I RECOVERED FROM NAUSEA AND NERVES.
