Narrative:

After flying an ILS approach to 100 ft above decision ht, a go around was initiated. The throttle was pushed in the maximum power position, and the carburetor heat was turned off. The engine started missing and running rough with power surges. Climbing through 800 ft and mid field, I requested an immediate entry into left traffic for runway 36 and informed the controller of the engine trouble. The controller cleared me to land on runway 36, but had to send a C130 on short final around. A normal landing was made on runway 36. The engine smoothed out when the throttle was pulled back. A run-up was done after landing, and the problem could not be duplicated.
