Narrative:

On short final, the prior landing aircraft failed to clear the runway, resulting in a go around. The PF climbed to approximately 1800 ft MSL before correcting back to the published altitude of 1500 ft MSL. Tower reported our deviation to nearby aircraft. We then received vectors to an uneventful approach and landing.
