Narrative:

Back-taxiing on runway 36 to depart on runway 18. Co-captain was on right side of the runway and looked up to see if it was time to turn around and he veered off runway and we got stuck in mud. Resulted in airport closure. Airport needs a turnaround at end. Airport manager says it happens about 6 times a yr.

Narrative: BACK-TAXIING ON RWY 36 TO DEPART ON RWY 18. CO-CAPT WAS ON R SIDE OF THE RWY AND LOOKED UP TO SEE IF IT WAS TIME TO TURN AROUND AND HE VEERED OFF RWY AND WE GOT STUCK IN MUD. RESULTED IN ARPT CLOSURE. ARPT NEEDS A TURNAROUND AT END. ARPT MGR SAYS IT HAPPENS ABOUT 6 TIMES A YR.
