Narrative:

First officer seat would not stay in preset vertical position -- drops down suddenly. (Log page X). Attempted to replace seat assembly per DC9 maintenance manual 25-13-01. Seat track rollers would not adjust on new seat. Roller locking device bent and locking screw stripped. Made seat unserviceable and ordered 2ND seat. Installed 2ND seat with no further problems. Informed on oct/tue/03, that stock seat was installed. Maintenance control issued me order on oct/tue/03, to check and replace seat log page X, replace first officer's stock seat with 09-xxxxx.

Title: A DC9-30 WAS DISPATCHED IN NON COMPLIANCE WITH THE INCORRECT FO'S SEAT INSTALLED. A DC9-10 SEAT INSTALLED INADVERTENTLY.
