Narrative:
Departed doylestown, PA -- destination knoxville, tn. To avoid problem with washington dc class B, I went direct lancaster, PA, VOR (note: my transponder went dead). I went southwest on V-39, but stayed about 8 mi on the right side of V-39. ZDC had me make 90 degree turns to identify me on radar. No indication on ZDC's part that I had violated airspace. Received call from FAA that I had violated the dc airspace. WX was real VFR -- not a cloud from doylestown, PA, to tupelo, ms.
