Narrative:
Captain notified us of engine problem approximately 5 mins into flight. We performed the checklist for the MD80. Landed without injury. Was told 3 different times that we would be landing in 10 mins. We actually circled for over 1 hour. Somewhat concerned as to delay in landing when only 1 engine working.
