Narrative:

Upon flying the last hour of my 6 hour flight in the 98 degree heat I tuned in dfw ATIS. At the end of this ATIS there was a NOTAM reported around a 30 mi radius of the cowboy VOR for a tfr. Unfamiliar with the area I looked for the VOR on the map. Unfortunately while flying the airplane I could not find the cowboy VOR. I decided to contact the dfw approach to find out the details. I tried several frequencys, but could not raise the dfw approach. Next I tried redbird tower also to no avail. At this point I descended below the class B ring and headed to the mesquite airport. During my approach to mesquite I was intercepted by an F16. The F16 was flying such a wide pattern I did not perceive this as an intercept. I flew close to some B52's near shreveport, so I thought the F16 was shooting approachs somewhere nearby. At this time I was running my descent checklist and calling the mesquite unicom. Upon landing I was notified of my tfr violation. Due to the unfamiliarity of the area, the heat, approach not responding, and human error the tfr was broken.

Title: C150 PLT ENTERED TFR AIRSPACE AND WAS INTERCEPTED BY MIL F16 ACFT.

Narrative: UPON FLYING THE LAST HR OF MY 6 HR FLT IN THE 98 DEG HEAT I TUNED IN DFW ATIS. AT THE END OF THIS ATIS THERE WAS A NOTAM RPTED AROUND A 30 MI RADIUS OF THE COWBOY VOR FOR A TFR. UNFAMILIAR WITH THE AREA I LOOKED FOR THE VOR ON THE MAP. UNFORTUNATELY WHILE FLYING THE AIRPLANE I COULD NOT FIND THE COWBOY VOR. I DECIDED TO CONTACT THE DFW APCH TO FIND OUT THE DETAILS. I TRIED SEVERAL FREQS, BUT COULD NOT RAISE THE DFW APCH. NEXT I TRIED REDBIRD TWR ALSO TO NO AVAIL. AT THIS POINT I DSNDED BELOW THE CLASS B RING AND HEADED TO THE MESQUITE ARPT. DURING MY APCH TO MESQUITE I WAS INTERCEPTED BY AN F16. THE F16 WAS FLYING SUCH A WIDE PATTERN I DID NOT PERCEIVE THIS AS AN INTERCEPT. I FLEW CLOSE TO SOME B52'S NEAR SHREVEPORT, SO I THOUGHT THE F16 WAS SHOOTING APCHS SOMEWHERE NEARBY. AT THIS TIME I WAS RUNNING MY DSCNT CHKLIST AND CALLING THE MESQUITE UNICOM. UPON LNDG I WAS NOTIFIED OF MY TFR VIOLATION. DUE TO THE UNFAMILIARITY OF THE AREA, THE HEAT, APCH NOT RESPONDING, AND HUMAN ERROR THE TFR WAS BROKEN.
