Narrative:

Jun/mon/03, ZZZ, us, airport. At gate I was assigned to work air carrier aircraft X to perform ETOPS 1 check. While performing check, air carrier representative showed up and said maintenance controller called and asked we perform an additional inspection. Not knowing how long the inspection would take, and knowing we where short on time, I stopped what I was doing and started working on inspection. By XA30 I had completed inspection and ETOPS check. I had negelected to remove landing gear pins, part of ETOPS check. The extra inspection took my mind off the ETOPS check. The airplane sat at the gate till XD30, at which time it departed with the landing gear pins still installed.
