Narrative:

Cruising, just level at FL350. Aft flight attendants advised cockpit of faint electric odor at aft right lavatory. First officer and deadhead captain sent to investigate and verified faint electric odor. Unable to locate source, but definitely from right aft lavatory. Declared emergency with ATC. Accomplished electrical smoke fumes fire checklist. Tested flight attendants. Requested arff. Sent report. Uneventful landing tpa with arff present. Deplaned via jet bridge. Maintenance found plastic placard inside return to seat sign had curled corner that made contact with hot lamp and cooked plastic corner that yielded odor. Boeing should be notified.

MAINT FOUND PLASTIC PLACARD INSIDE RETURN TO SEAT SIGN HAD CURLED CORNER THAT MADE CONTACT WITH HOT LAMP AND COOKED PLASTIC CORNER THAT YIELDED ODOR. BOEING SHOULD BE NOTIFIED.
