Narrative:

As captain on a helicopter, I was cleared to land at intxns of txwys a and D on west side of runway 5 in use. I was approaching from the northeast. After landing and beginning taxi, a comment was heard on tower frequency and I observed either an immediate departure or a go around by a lear jet on the active behind us. It was not apparent by myself or my crew member that we had caused a go around by the lear. I called mmu tower to ask if the comment heard was about our aircraft. The tower operator said yes, the lear had initiated a go around due to the helicopter crossing its intended landing zone. Tower advised me that he had said, and intended, for me to cross high overhead, or midfield. I honestly either missed the clearance or misunderstood the instructions, I cannot recall. I do not believe either crew member was aware of the landing aircraft.

Title: A CPR HELI CAPT MISUNDERSTOOD MMU TOWER INSTRUCTIONS, CAUSING A LEAR JET TO EXECUTE A GAR.

Narrative: AS CAPT ON A HELI, I WAS CLRED TO LAND AT INTXNS OF TXWYS A AND D ON W SIDE OF RWY 5 IN USE. I WAS APCHING FROM THE NE. AFTER LNDG AND BEGINNING TAXI, A COMMENT WAS HEARD ON TWR FREQ AND I OBSERVED EITHER AN IMMEDIATE DEP OR A GAR BY A LEAR JET ON THE ACTIVE BEHIND US. IT WAS NOT APPARENT BY MYSELF OR MY CREW MEMBER THAT WE HAD CAUSED A GAR BY THE LEAR. I CALLED MMU TWR TO ASK IF THE COMMENT HEARD WAS ABOUT OUR ACFT. THE TWR OPERATOR SAID YES, THE LEAR HAD INITIATED A GAR DUE TO THE HELI XING ITS INTENDED LNDG ZONE. TWR ADVISED ME THAT HE HAD SAID, AND INTENDED, FOR ME TO CROSS HIGH OVERHEAD, OR MIDFIELD. I HONESTLY EITHER MISSED THE CLRNC OR MISUNDERSTOOD THE INSTRUCTIONS, I CANNOT RECALL. I DO NOT BELIEVE EITHER CREW MEMBER WAS AWARE OF THE LNDG ACFT.
