Narrative:

The aircraft in the air carrier fleet all have improved performance. In section labeled for performance page for each under procedure and limitations for improved performance, the manual states: improved performance limits cannot accommodate the takeoff weight. Improved performance is automatically turned on when the weight manifest is pulled up at certain cities, eg, ege. Improved performance is selected even if the weight can be accommodated with normal means. The dispatcher has no way of turning improved performance on or off. And with the new system allowing improved performance even with MEL corrections we cannot comply with the FARS performance section of the performance manual. In addition, the B737 requires 26K power which pays additional money for to use improved performance even if improved performance is not required. This costs money we don't need to spend. I know that after calculation if not needed the tps removes the improved performance, but this doesn't help when planning the flts.

Title: ACR DISPATCHER NOTES THAT HE IS NOT ABLE TO SELECT REDUCED, OR RATED TKOF THRUST FOR THE FLTS UNDER HIS CTL.

Narrative: THE ACFT IN THE ACR FLEET ALL HAVE IMPROVED PERFORMANCE. IN SECTION LABELED FOR PERFORMANCE PAGE FOR EACH UNDER PROC AND LIMITATIONS FOR IMPROVED PERFORMANCE, THE MANUAL STATES: IMPROVED PERFORMANCE LIMITS CANNOT ACCOMMODATE THE TKOF WT. IMPROVED PERFORMANCE IS AUTOMATICALLY TURNED ON WHEN THE WT MANIFEST IS PULLED UP AT CERTAIN CITIES, EG, EGE. IMPROVED PERFORMANCE IS SELECTED EVEN IF THE WT CAN BE ACCOMMODATED WITH NORMAL MEANS. THE DISPATCHER HAS NO WAY OF TURNING IMPROVED PERFORMANCE ON OR OFF. AND WITH THE NEW SYS ALLOWING IMPROVED PERFORMANCE EVEN WITH MEL CORRECTIONS WE CANNOT COMPLY WITH THE FARS PERFORMANCE SECTION OF THE PERFORMANCE MANUAL. IN ADDITION, THE B737 REQUIRES 26K PWR WHICH PAYS ADDITIONAL MONEY FOR TO USE IMPROVED PERFORMANCE EVEN IF IMPROVED PERFORMANCE IS NOT REQUIRED. THIS COSTS MONEY WE DON'T NEED TO SPEND. I KNOW THAT AFTER CALCULATION IF NOT NEEDED THE TPS REMOVES THE IMPROVED PERFORMANCE, BUT THIS DOESN'T HELP WHEN PLANNING THE FLTS.
