Narrative:

On engine change, close-up inspection showed all position indicators to be 90 degrees from edge of panel. All panels were in proper position and appeared to be installed correctly per maintenance manual. I have reviewed air carrier procedures and will pay attention to installation and condition of panel retainers.

Title: A B737-300 WAS DISPATCHED IN NON COMPLIANCE WITH PYLON PANEL FASTENER RETAINERS LOCATED INCORRECTLY AFTER ENG CHANGE.
