Narrative:
It is with an apologetic spirit that I write this letter concerning my violation of the tfr around our presidents ranch. I assume all the responsibility for my actions. My home airport fws is only 44 statute miles from my destination F50 and being a beautiful VFR day, I did not receive a briefing, receive the NOTAMS, or file a flight plan. My thought at the time of my trip was that the tfr, did not include F50. However, I certainly know now that F50 is just inside the tfr. To prevent this from occurring again, I have reinforced in my mind that anytime I fly, regardless of distance, it will be IFR obtain a briefing and receive all pertinent NOTAMS. In the past this has been my standard procedures, but being in a hurry to attend our grandson's birthday party on a limited time period I departed from my usual procedure.
