Narrative:
I was informed by another pilot that I swapped schedules with, that his aircraft had a maintenance problem that he had advised maintenance about. I didn't check with the mechanic and launched wihtout a maintenance release. I had an indication and assessed that I had a hydraulic failure, executed the emergency procedure and landed without incident.

Title: A EUROCOPTER AS50 WAS DISPATCHED IN NON COMPLIANCE WITH A HYD PROB AND NO MAINT RELEASE. MADE EMER OFF FIELD LNDG.
Narrative: I WAS INFORMED BY ANOTHER PLT THAT I SWAPPED SCHEDULES WITH, THAT HIS ACFT HAD A MAINT PROB THAT HE HAD ADVISED MAINT ABOUT.
