Narrative:

During expressway visual runway 31 in lga, the pattern or ground track that we were flying was a little wide. This was due to the fact that the snow on ground and the freezing temperature did not allow us to see the body of water we were to follow until we were too wide on our turn to final. This did not compromise safety of our flight, but actually gave us more time to set up for the visual approach due to the wider pattern.
