Narrative:

This involves the center tank restr on B757's. I was using the checklist method as well as putting a time in the fix page. I had been watching the fuel regularly and estimated that my time might be off by about 3 mins. Then I simply forgot about the fuel until the tank showed 100 pounds. The low pressure lights did not come on. I usually move the card from the radar screen to my yoke after takeoff, but because I was the PF in didn't do it this time, not wanting to step on the captain toes. Next time I will stick with my tried and true procedures and always assume full responsibility for the pumps. This is the first time I have ever had trouble with this procedure, an it was because I didn't follow my normal habit patterns out of a misguided respect for the captain.
