Narrative:

I was at the nashville international airport at XA45 on feb/sat/03, doing a run-up for departure on runway 2C. I had been having radio difficulties with the ground control at the airport, however, I felt that the second radio was functioning properly. I was directed to a run-up area for departure on runway 2C. I did my run-up and then I called ground control indicating that I was ready for departure. There were some 4 or 5 other airplanes located in the same area, 2 of which were air carrier's. When I finally reached ground control, I was told that they had called me 3 or 4 times, but I had not heard them. They then told me I was holding up 3 or 4 other airplanes and I was to expedite getting to the runway. As I rolled onto the runway, I contacted the tower who indicated to me that I was on the runway improperly and I believe another airplane was told to go around. He then directed me to do a 360 degrees and I was told to depart. I departed the nashville area on an IFR plan to ixd in kansas city. During this flight, I received a call from the departure control indicating that I should contact the nashville approach control or nashville tower, I am not sure which one, but they gave me a number to call upon my arrival in kansas city. I did make that contact on feb/sun/03, and they took full information about my pilot's license, etc.

Title: A PA34 PLT IS HAVING RADIO PROBS. WHEN TWR FINALLY GETS THROUGH, THE CTLR TOLD THE PLT TO EXPEDITE TO THE RWY, WHICH LED THE PLT TO BE CONFUSED AND TAXI ON THE RWY WITHOUT A CLRNC, SENDING AN ACFT AROUND.

Narrative: I WAS AT THE NASHVILLE INTL ARPT AT XA45 ON FEB/SAT/03, DOING A RUN-UP FOR DEP ON RWY 2C. I HAD BEEN HAVING RADIO DIFFICULTIES WITH THE GND CTL AT THE ARPT, HOWEVER, I FELT THAT THE SECOND RADIO WAS FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. I WAS DIRECTED TO A RUN-UP AREA FOR DEP ON RWY 2C. I DID MY RUN-UP AND THEN I CALLED GND CTL INDICATING THAT I WAS READY FOR DEP. THERE WERE SOME 4 OR 5 OTHER AIRPLANES LOCATED IN THE SAME AREA, 2 OF WHICH WERE ACR'S. WHEN I FINALLY REACHED GND CTL, I WAS TOLD THAT THEY HAD CALLED ME 3 OR 4 TIMES, BUT I HAD NOT HEARD THEM. THEY THEN TOLD ME I WAS HOLDING UP 3 OR 4 OTHER AIRPLANES AND I WAS TO EXPEDITE GETTING TO THE RWY. AS I ROLLED ONTO THE RWY, I CONTACTED THE TWR WHO INDICATED TO ME THAT I WAS ON THE RWY IMPROPERLY AND I BELIEVE ANOTHER AIRPLANE WAS TOLD TO GO AROUND. HE THEN DIRECTED ME TO DO A 360 DEGS AND I WAS TOLD TO DEPART. I DEPARTED THE NASHVILLE AREA ON AN IFR PLAN TO IXD IN KANSAS CITY. DURING THIS FLT, I RECEIVED A CALL FROM THE DEP CTL INDICATING THAT I SHOULD CONTACT THE NASHVILLE APCH CTL OR NASHVILLE TWR, I AM NOT SURE WHICH ONE, BUT THEY GAVE ME A NUMBER TO CALL UPON MY ARR IN KANSAS CITY. I DID MAKE THAT CONTACT ON FEB/SUN/03, AND THEY TOOK FULL INFO ABOUT MY PLT'S LICENSE, ETC.
