Narrative:
We were not aware of any problem until the captain called to say that we would be diverting to ZZZ due to a generator problem. A cabin safety FAA inspector idented herself to the crew and volunteered to assist if an evacuation became necessary. Checklist was not necessary, we diverted to ZZZ without incident.

Title: A FLT ATTENDANT RPTS A FOKKER 100 DIVERSION DUE TO GENERATOR PROBS. NO EVACUATION OR INJURIES TO PAX OR CREW.
Narrative: WE WERE NOT AWARE OF ANY PROB UNTIL THE CAPT CALLED TO SAY THAT WE WOULD BE DIVERTING TO ZZZ DUE TO A GENERATOR PROB. A CABIN SAFETY FAA INSPECTOR IDENTED HERSELF TO THE CREW AND VOLUNTEERED TO ASSIST IF AN EVACUATION BECAME NECESSARY. CHKLIST WAS NOT NECESSARY, WE DIVERTED TO ZZZ WITHOUT INCIDENT.
