Narrative:

This is a CRM personality conflict that led to a situation where there was a lack of communication which further led to an SOP infraction in my view. We heavily debated whether or not to deice. We did at my insistence and he was sure to let me know that he didn't think we needed it. Furthermore, he thought the contamination check could be done from the cockpit which is not true, but that's where he did it from. He also neglected to do the required engine run-ups after deicing. He is totally clueless and for the 2 previous days this relationship deteriorated to a point where my input did not matter nor would it ever be accepted without some sort of comment. Because of the lack of communication and CRM, I did not correct him on the engine run-ups or the contamination checks. The checks are to be performed approximately 5 mins before departure. He said he walked back to check the wings just after the deicing was complete. He said they were clear. This was before pushback. Certainly more than 5 mins from takeoff. I personally don't think he checked. I was not present when this was done.

Title: A320 FO HAD A CONTINUING PERSONALITY CONFLICT WITH THE CAPT. THE CAPT IGNORED COMPANY REQUIRED CHKS AND PROCS.

Narrative: THIS IS A CRM PERSONALITY CONFLICT THAT LED TO A SIT WHERE THERE WAS A LACK OF COM WHICH FURTHER LED TO AN SOP INFRACTION IN MY VIEW. WE HEAVILY DEBATED WHETHER OR NOT TO DEICE. FURTHERMORE, HE THOUGHT THE CONTAMINATION CHK COULD BE DONE FROM THE COCKPIT WHICH IS NOT TRUE, BUT THAT'S WHERE HE DID IT FROM. HE ALSO NEGLECTED TO DO THE REQUIRED ENG RUN-UPS AFTER DEICING. HE IS TOTALLY CLUELESS AND FOR THE 2 PREVIOUS DAYS THIS RELATIONSHIP DETERIORATED TO A POINT WHERE MY INPUT DID NOT MATTER NOR WOULD IT EVER BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT SOME SORT OF COMMENT. BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF COM AND CRM, I DID NOT CORRECT HIM ON THE ENG RUN-UPS OR THE CONTAMINATION CHKS. THE CHKS ARE TO BE PERFORMED APPROX 5 MINS BEFORE DEP.
