Narrative:

We diverted to winnipeg due to a medical emergency. After landing we had a mechanical problem which took time but was repaired. We departed winnipeg and landed at lhr with 16 hours 15 mins duty time according to the company computer. My calculations show that we ended up with 16 hours 5 mins duty time. We were aware that it was going to be close but we estimated that we would be under 16 hours. However, it looks like we inadvertently went over by 5 mins. We felt that all legalities would be satisfied given the information at hand. However, en route vectoring and an inbound gate delay caused us to be later than planned.
