Narrative:

On taxi out for takeoff after abs was selected to the takeoff position and armed the abs system activated and brought the aircraft to an abrupt stop. Taxi speed at the time was under 5 KTS. Both reversers were stowed and all other system and conditions appeared normal. We tested the antiskid and abs system per the OM and both checked good. All passenger were reported by the flight attendants to be seated with seatbelts fastened at the time of the incident. After consultation with the flight attendants as to the passenger conditions, it was determined that 1 female passenger in the main cabin claimed to have arthritis in her neck and that the incident had caused her to whip her neck -- but she felt she was okay to continue the flight. During cruise the first officer visited with the referenced passenger after a trip to the lavatory and he was told she was ok. The rest of the flight was very smooth and uneventful. En route to dfw I decided to report the incident in the log even though all system checked normal.
