Narrative:

During approach to runway 22L at ewr, slats were extended and slat disagree light illuminated. Checklist procedures were complied with and landing was uneventful. We requested the longer runway for landing and tower declared an emergency for us and deployed the fire equipment. Supplemental information from acn 563245: slat disagree light came on at slat extension, light flickered, then remain steady. Accomplished abnormal procedures. Tower asked the reason and then declared an emergency for us.

Narrative: DURING APCH TO RWY 22L AT EWR, SLATS WERE EXTENDED AND SLAT DISAGREE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. CHKLIST PROCS WERE COMPLIED WITH AND LNDG WAS UNEVENTFUL. WE REQUESTED THE LONGER RWY FOR LNDG AND TWR DECLARED AN EMER FOR US AND DEPLOYED THE FIRE EQUIP. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 563245: SLAT DISAGREE LIGHT CAME ON AT SLAT EXTENSION, LIGHT FLICKERED, THEN REMAIN STEADY. ACCOMPLISHED ABNORMAL PROCS.
