Narrative:

On the night of sep/tue/02, mr Y and I were assigned to work on aircraft, a pm check and troubleshooting an MEL item. I replaced the 490 degree switch, located under panel 5728L. I reinstalled the panel while mr Y closed the engine cowls. We took aircraft out for engine run and paperwork was filled out after we verified no further problems. When aircraft arrived ZZZ1, panel 5728L was missing.
