Narrative:

I am a flight attendant. On jul/mon/02 I was working on flight from new york. At about XA30 I was in the galley working with another flight attendant. I was facing around from first class and talking when I noticed that he was distraction and looking into first class. I followed his gaze. I saw a flight attendant that was speaking with a passenger. I could hear raised voices, but I do not know what they were saying. They were facing each other and their faces were about 18 inches apart. Flight attendant had her back to me and passenger was facing me. I then saw passenger stick his tongue out and blow through his mouth while his tongue was still out. The flight attendant turned around towards me and she said 'did you see what he just did? He spit at me.' I do not know if it was towards me or just at anyone in the cabin. I do not know what happened after that. I continued on with my work. Later in the flight, the flight attendant came to me crying and said 'I can't believe anyone would do that to another person -- to spit in their face.' the first officer was there and he comforted her.
