Narrative:

While flying VFR at night from ZZZ, md, to ZZZ1, va, my route of flight took me just north of the belts intersection. Belts intersection is in the washington, dc, tfr area, thus I inadvertently flew just into the tfr around washington. Certainly the correct way to have made this trip VFR would be to have filed and flown IFR or to have asked for flight following. This was an inadvertent incursion into the tfr around washington and certainly will not be repeated by this pilot.
