Narrative:

I told the first officer by intercom that we had a situation in the cabin and he informed me to hold on, I should tell the captain in full detail. I called the captain to report this behavior. There were 3 other flight attendants guarding the cockpit. The captain contacted tower to get a gate to remove passenger. Passenger cursing and telling us to shut up, he wanted off now. He kept hitting the closet wall harder and harder. He appeared intoxicated and mentally unstable. He refused to situation while taxiing back to the gate. I informed captain of passenger's brother sitting in coach. We wanted both to go. Passenger also stated 'I must get off this aircraft now or I'm going to die' as he walked up the aisle.
