Narrative:

Millville FSS continues (previously reported) to not brief pilots flying VFR in connecticut that oxc has an operating control tower with class 'D' that is not charted. They only brief pilots about NOTAMS for airport they are landing at. They do not seem to realize a pilot can fly through a class D without landing. Actually I have mentioned it to two different briefers without it affecting their NOTAM briefs. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated, while on a flight to connecticut, he almost violated class 'D' airspace by not knowing about the newly commissioned tower at koxc. He felt the briefing he received from the FSS, prior to his flight, should have included that information.

Title: A HELICOPTER PLT, RECEIVING A BRIEFING FROM A FSS, FEELS HE DID NOT RECEIVE ADEQUATE INFO ABOUT ARPTS ALONG THE RTE.

Narrative: MILLVILLE FSS CONTINUES (PREVIOUSLY RPTED) TO NOT BRIEF PLTS FLYING VFR IN CONNECTICUT THAT OXC HAS AN OPERATING CTL TWR WITH CLASS 'D' THAT IS NOT CHARTED. THEY ONLY BRIEF PLTS ABOUT NOTAMS FOR ARPT THEY ARE LNDG AT. THEY DO NOT SEEM TO REALIZE A PLT CAN FLY THROUGH A CLASS D WITHOUT LNDG. ACTUALLY I HAVE MENTIONED IT TO TWO DIFFERENT BRIEFERS WITHOUT IT AFFECTING THEIR NOTAM BRIEFS. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED, WHILE ON A FLT TO CONNECTICUT, HE ALMOST VIOLATED CLASS 'D' AIRSPACE BY NOT KNOWING ABOUT THE NEWLY COMMISSIONED TWR AT KOXC. HE FELT THE BRIEFING HE RECEIVED FROM THE FSS, PRIOR TO HIS FLT, SHOULD HAVE INCLUDED THAT INFO.
