Narrative:
I performed an rii inspection for the avionics section of work card XXXX and several others. I had previous rii training in sfo and I thought I was current according to my training record. After review of the gpm, I found out I needed a 'qa-1' form from the manager of quality assurance at ZZZ and, therefore, I was ineligible to sign the rii section.

Title: A B767-300 WAS DISPATCHED IN NON COMPLIANCE WITH AN FAA REQUIRED INSPECTION ITEM INSPECTED BY AN UNQUALIFIED INSPECTOR. QUALIFICATION OUT OF TIME.
Narrative: I PERFORMED AN RII INSPECTION FOR THE AVIONICS SECTION OF WORK CARD XXXX AND SEVERAL OTHERS. I HAD PREVIOUS RII TRAINING IN SFO AND I THOUGHT I WAS CURRENT ACCORDING TO MY TRAINING RECORD. AFTER REVIEW OF THE GPM, I FOUND OUT I NEEDED A 'QA-1' FORM FROM THE MGR OF QUALITY ASSURANCE AT ZZZ AND, THEREFORE, I WAS INELIGIBLE TO SIGN THE RII SECTION.
