Narrative:

Landed runway 26 at dxr. Cleared to taxi to FBO. This airport has a runway hold short line on the taxiway about 150 ft from the 90 degree turn to the runway. Taxied to FBO, crossing this hold short line. Ground controller advised that pilot taxied across and should have stopped at the hold short. There were no other aircraft taxiing on this taxiway in this area or entering the runway. Apparently, the local procedure at this airport is to turn onto a parallel city run-up ramp on the way to the FBO, bypassing this hold short. But in this instance, pilot stayed on taxiway. The usual meaning of a taxi clearance to 'X-FBO' is cleared to taxi to 'X-FBO' across any runway or taxiway leading up to 'X.' although I should have stopped at the hold short, I think the controller should specifically say 'hold short runway 'X.' because of the unusual hold short line location, this seems to be a common error at this airport.

Title: C172 PLT FAILED TO STOP FOR TAXI CLRNC AFTER PASSING A HOLD SHORT LINE ON THE TXWY DURING TAXI IN.

Narrative: LANDED RWY 26 AT DXR. CLRED TO TAXI TO FBO. THIS ARPT HAS A RWY HOLD SHORT LINE ON THE TXWY ABOUT 150 FT FROM THE 90 DEG TURN TO THE RWY. TAXIED TO FBO, XING THIS HOLD SHORT LINE. GND CTLR ADVISED THAT PLT TAXIED ACROSS AND SHOULD HAVE STOPPED AT THE HOLD SHORT. THERE WERE NO OTHER ACFT TAXIING ON THIS TXWY IN THIS AREA OR ENTERING THE RWY. APPARENTLY, THE LCL PROC AT THIS ARPT IS TO TURN ONTO A PARALLEL CITY RUN-UP RAMP ON THE WAY TO THE FBO, BYPASSING THIS HOLD SHORT. BUT IN THIS INSTANCE, PLT STAYED ON TXWY. THE USUAL MEANING OF A TAXI CLRNC TO 'X-FBO' IS CLRED TO TAXI TO 'X-FBO' ACROSS ANY RWY OR TXWY LEADING UP TO 'X.' ALTHOUGH I SHOULD HAVE STOPPED AT THE HOLD SHORT, I THINK THE CTLR SHOULD SPECIFICALLY SAY 'HOLD SHORT RWY 'X.' BECAUSE OF THE UNUSUAL HOLD SHORT LINE LOCATION, THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON ERROR AT THIS ARPT.
