Narrative:

Landed runway 4. Turned off on taxiway (short) leading to taxiway a. As I was turning off, tower said 'contact ground when off.' I called ground and said I was off of runway 4 and going to restaurant. Ground answered back 'continue on taxiway a to restaurant -- for your information, you have an incursion.' I answered that I was confused as to how that could be so please explain. Ground answered, 'you have a taxiway incursion, you should have stopped short of taxiway a until instructed to continue.' I said, 'thank you.' I have never heard of a 'taxiway incursion.' I have landed at jvl and done the same thing many times with no such comment. I'm sad to hear of it and feel badly used by the ground operator. No other aircraft were on the txwys or the runway at the time.

Narrative: LANDED RWY 4. TURNED OFF ON TXWY (SHORT) LEADING TO TXWY A. AS I WAS TURNING OFF, TWR SAID 'CONTACT GND WHEN OFF.' I CALLED GND AND SAID I WAS OFF OF RWY 4 AND GOING TO RESTAURANT. GND ANSWERED BACK 'CONTINUE ON TXWY A TO RESTAURANT -- FOR YOUR INFO, YOU HAVE AN INCURSION.' I ANSWERED THAT I WAS CONFUSED AS TO HOW THAT COULD BE SO PLEASE EXPLAIN. GND ANSWERED, 'YOU HAVE A TXWY INCURSION, YOU SHOULD HAVE STOPPED SHORT OF TXWY A UNTIL INSTRUCTED TO CONTINUE.' I SAID, 'THANK YOU.' I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF A 'TXWY INCURSION.' I HAVE LANDED AT JVL AND DONE THE SAME THING MANY TIMES WITH NO SUCH COMMENT. I'M SAD TO HEAR OF IT AND FEEL BADLY USED BY THE GND OPERATOR. NO OTHER ACFT WERE ON THE TXWYS OR THE RWY AT THE TIME.
