Narrative:

This flight began with the intention of building time on a freshly overhauled engine. Original departure was from ZZZ il planning to fly and land at ZZZ1 for an aircraft inspection and then return to the aircraft's home base. En route to ZZZ1,I decided that the prevailing winds were more favorable for a flight more to the southeast, so I changed course. I changed course because of headwinds and proceeded to ZZZ2, where I landed to inspect my aircraft. Finding all well, requested a northwest VFR departure to proceed back toward my home base. After takeoff the tower cleared me on course and to monitor departure control, which I did. On arriving in the vicinity of ZZZ3, I called approach control and requested vectors for approach to ZZZ4. I flew the approach and requested a touch and go with a turn direct to my home base. After getting the airplane squared away, the tower said they had a telephone number for me to call. I landed and immediately called. In speaking with a supervisor, I learned that the ZZZ2 departure controller had observed an aircraft fly through a tfr. The supervisor suspected that it was my aircraft. We discussed what had occurred and the ways that the incursion might have been avoided. After learning exactly where the tfr was located, I realized that I had seen the fdc NOTAM that was on the duats briefing that I had done the night before this flight. I put the information aside because my original intention for direction of flight and destination was not affected by the NOTAM or tfr. My mistake was not getting a new briefing for the change in my flight plan while en route. Accepting or requesting radar advisories while en route would have been another good idea. I realize that we can no longer just point and go with the freedom we once had. I certainly did not intentionally fly into the tfr airspace. My intention from this time on are to use radar advisories and get briefings for every flight and area that I might be in even if it is clear and 100 miles visibility.

Title: A CHANGE IN FLT RTEING WITHOUT UPDATED PLANNING RESULTS IN AN ENTRY INTO TEMPORARY FLT RESTR AIRSPACE.

Narrative: THIS FLT BEGAN WITH THE INTENTION OF BUILDING TIME ON A FRESHLY OVERHAULED ENGINE. ORIGINAL DEP WAS FROM ZZZ IL PLANNING TO FLY AND LAND AT ZZZ1 FOR AN ACFT INSPECTION AND THEN RETURN TO THE ACFT'S HOME BASE. ENRTE TO ZZZ1,I DECIDED THAT THE PREVAILING WINDS WERE MORE FAVORABLE FOR A FLT MORE TO THE SE, SO I CHANGED COURSE. I CHANGED COURSE BECAUSE OF HEADWINDS AND PROCEEDED TO ZZZ2, WHERE I LANDED TO INSPECT MY ACFT. FINDING ALL WELL, REQUESTED A NW VFR DEP TO PROCEED BACK TOWARD MY HOME BASE. AFTER TAKEOFF THE TWR CLRED ME ON COURSE AND TO MONITOR DEP CTL, WHICH I DID. ON ARRIVING IN THE VICINITY OF ZZZ3, I CALLED APCH CTL AND REQUESTED VECTORS FOR APCH TO ZZZ4. I FLEW THE APCH AND REQUESTED A TOUCH AND GO WITH A TURN DIRECT TO MY HOME BASE. AFTER GETTING THE AIRPLANE SQUARED AWAY, THE TWR SAID THEY HAD A TELEPHONE NUMBER FOR ME TO CALL. I LANDED AND IMMEDIATELY CALLED. IN SPEAKING WITH A SUPVR, I LEARNED THAT THE ZZZ2 DEP CTLR HAD OBSERVED AN ACFT FLY THROUGH A TFR. THE SUPVR SUSPECTED THAT IT WAS MY ACFT. WE DISCUSSED WHAT HAD OCCURRED AND THE WAYS THAT THE INCURSION MIGHT HAVE BEEN AVOIDED. AFTER LEARNING EXACTLY WHERE THE TFR WAS LOCATED, I REALIZED THAT I HAD SEEN THE FDC NOTAM THAT WAS ON THE DUATS BRIEFING THAT I HAD DONE THE NIGHT BEFORE THIS FLT. I PUT THE INFO ASIDE BECAUSE MY ORIGINAL INTENTION FOR DIRECTION OF FLT AND DEST WAS NOT AFFECTED BY THE NOTAM OR TFR. MY MISTAKE WAS NOT GETTING A NEW BRIEFING FOR THE CHANGE IN MY FLT PLAN WHILE ENRTE. ACCEPTING OR REQUESTING RADAR ADVISORIES WHILE ENRTE WOULD HAVE BEEN ANOTHER GOOD IDEA. I REALIZE THAT WE CAN NO LONGER JUST POINT AND GO WITH THE FREEDOM WE ONCE HAD. I CERTAINLY DID NOT INTENTIONALLY FLY INTO THE TFR AIRSPACE. MY INTENTION FROM THIS TIME ON ARE TO USE RADAR ADVISORIES AND GET BRIEFINGS FOR EVERY FLT AND AREA THAT I MIGHT BE IN EVEN IF IT IS CLR AND 100 MILES VISIBILITY.
