Narrative:

The clt tower was telling another aircraft on a different frequency landing on runway 23 to go around. We were landing on runway 18R. The tower controller working our frequency said 'no need to acknowledge, go around XXXX and YYYY.' we began our low altitude go around and reported this to the tower. There was a potential for 3 aircraft going around at the same time -- not a good thing. Apparently, our tower controller was just trying to advise us that an aircraft on a different runway was going around. However, the words didn't come out like she intended.
