Narrative:

Ground control told us to taxi for a hold to the uniform pad at dtw. Southwest corner had reflect tape markers, but were east of my path. Taxi light on aircraft did not pick up reflection until we were in 180 degree turn to park. Realized we had gone past temporary construction zone and had to dodge markers to get past the zone. No FOD to aircraft and county was notified via ATC ground.
