Narrative:

Sck tower was apparently working both ground and air traffic on the same frequency. I was handed off from sck approach while on the approach for runway 29R. When I checked in with CTAF, the controller acknowledged me and then he said 'do you want the left or right runway?' I responded that I would like the left. He said 'ok' and some other words that didn't make sense. I landed runway 29L. When I cleared the runway, the controller asked why I landed on runway 29L instead of runway 29R. In retrospect, I think the controller was talking to an aircraft on the ground when he asked, 'do you want the left or right?' and also his 'ok' was intended for the other aircraft. I don't recall an n-number used in either case.

Title: C172 PLT LANDED ON THE WRONG RWY AT SCK.

Narrative: SCK TWR WAS APPARENTLY WORKING BOTH GND AND AIR TFC ON THE SAME FREQ. I WAS HANDED OFF FROM SCK APCH WHILE ON THE APCH FOR RWY 29R. WHEN I CHKED IN WITH CTAF, THE CTLR ACKNOWLEDGED ME AND THEN HE SAID 'DO YOU WANT THE L OR R RWY?' I RESPONDED THAT I WOULD LIKE THE L. HE SAID 'OK' AND SOME OTHER WORDS THAT DIDN'T MAKE SENSE. I LANDED RWY 29L. WHEN I CLRED THE RWY, THE CTLR ASKED WHY I LANDED ON RWY 29L INSTEAD OF RWY 29R. IN RETROSPECT, I THINK THE CTLR WAS TALKING TO AN ACFT ON THE GND WHEN HE ASKED, 'DO YOU WANT THE L OR R?' AND ALSO HIS 'OK' WAS INTENDED FOR THE OTHER ACFT. I DON'T RECALL AN N-NUMBER USED IN EITHER CASE.
