Narrative:

Air carrier does what we call 'stand-ups.' you leave ZZZ at XA00 or so, fly to a destination and return at about XJ00. You have to do this 3 days in a row or they will take your monthly pay guaranteed. Since you will only fly about 30 hours for the month, dropping 1 of these trips will cost you dollars. These type of trips you are forced to do are dangerous. You make lots of mistakes, mostly little stuff, but you see that you are doing a bad job. You get 3-4 hours of sleep per night. During the day, you really can't make up the sleep you miss. You can't drink coffee because you have to try to sleep as soon as you get in on both ends. This split shift kind of thing should be illegal, or at least separated by a 24 hour rest period, not the current 11 hours!
