Narrative:

Departing runway 24 at teb, SID is to climb to 1500 ft on runway heading at 4.7 DME from teb VOR, turn right to a heading of 280 degrees and climb to 2000 ft. As I was initiating a turn at 4.7 DME and passing 1500 ft, the controller said 'maintain 1500 ft.' the 1500 ft was overshot to about 1800 ft. Descended back to 1500 ft. The conflict arose because ewr was landing runways 22 and the aircraft for ewr are brought very near, if not directly off, teb airport. I had no RA's. One solution to this ongoing problem would be to only be given a clearance to 1500 ft initially. I know: terrain to the west.

Title: CANADAIR CL604 CAPT WAS CLBING THROUGH THE ALT TO WHICH DEP CTLR HAD SUDDENLY INSTRUCTED HIM TO LEVEL OFF AT DURING A SID DEP RESULTING IN HIM OVERSHOOTING THAT ALT BY 300 FT.

Narrative: DEPARTING RWY 24 AT TEB, SID IS TO CLB TO 1500 FT ON RWY HDG AT 4.7 DME FROM TEB VOR, TURN R TO A HDG OF 280 DEGS AND CLB TO 2000 FT. AS I WAS INITIATING A TURN AT 4.7 DME AND PASSING 1500 FT, THE CTLR SAID 'MAINTAIN 1500 FT.' THE 1500 FT WAS OVERSHOT TO ABOUT 1800 FT. DSNDED BACK TO 1500 FT. THE CONFLICT AROSE BECAUSE EWR WAS LNDG RWYS 22 AND THE ACFT FOR EWR ARE BROUGHT VERY NEAR, IF NOT DIRECTLY OFF, TEB ARPT. I HAD NO RA'S. ONE SOLUTION TO THIS ONGOING PROB WOULD BE TO ONLY BE GIVEN A CLRNC TO 1500 FT INITIALLY. I KNOW: TERRAIN TO THE W.
