Narrative:

The aircraft taxied into position on runway 23 at ZZZ. The captain applied thrust to the aircraft and there was a slight yawing motion. After I set takeoff thrust, the aircraft accelerated normally. However, as airspeed increased, the aircraft slowly veered off the centerline to the right. At approximately 80-90 KTS, the captain performed an aborted takeoff to prevent the aircraft from exiting the runway. The captain stated that full left rudder was applied and the aircraft did not respond to inputs. After notifying ATC and the flight attendant of our intentions, the outboard and inboard left brake indicators were in the white 7-8 range. Back at the gate, brake (btms) indications of the left inboard and outboard heat indicators went to 9. Passenger stayed on board the aircraft while it was determined whether or not it was safe to deplane. Passenger were safely removed. Left brakes were too hot to touch with hands and there was a burning odor which was very noticeable. Maintenance was called. The reason for the high brake temperatures has yet to be determined. Flight was canceled.

Title: A CANADAIR CL65 REJECTED TKOF AT 80-90 KTS DUE TO ACFT VEERING TO R WITH FULL L RUDDER APPLIED. CAUSE UNKNOWN.

Narrative: THE ACFT TAXIED INTO POS ON RWY 23 AT ZZZ. THE CAPT APPLIED THRUST TO THE ACFT AND THERE WAS A SLIGHT YAWING MOTION. AFTER I SET TKOF THRUST, THE ACFT ACCELERATED NORMALLY. HOWEVER, AS AIRSPD INCREASED, THE ACFT SLOWLY VEERED OFF THE CTRLINE TO THE R. AT APPROX 80-90 KTS, THE CAPT PERFORMED AN ABORTED TKOF TO PREVENT THE ACFT FROM EXITING THE RWY. THE CAPT STATED THAT FULL L RUDDER WAS APPLIED AND THE ACFT DID NOT RESPOND TO INPUTS. AFTER NOTIFYING ATC AND THE FLT ATTENDANT OF OUR INTENTIONS, THE OUTBOARD AND INBOARD L BRAKE INDICATORS WERE IN THE WHITE 7-8 RANGE. BACK AT THE GATE, BRAKE (BTMS) INDICATIONS OF THE L INBOARD AND OUTBOARD HEAT INDICATORS WENT TO 9. PAX STAYED ON BOARD THE ACFT WHILE IT WAS DETERMINED WHETHER OR NOT IT WAS SAFE TO DEPLANE. PAX WERE SAFELY REMOVED. L BRAKES WERE TOO HOT TO TOUCH WITH HANDS AND THERE WAS A BURNING ODOR WHICH WAS VERY NOTICEABLE. MAINT WAS CALLED. THE REASON FOR THE HIGH BRAKE TEMPS HAS YET TO BE DETERMINED. FLT WAS CANCELED.
