Narrative:

I was involved in replacing the left and right nose tires on aircraft. I may have inadvertently left the spacers out of the installation of the new tire/wheel assembly. I do not believe that the spacers were originally there. I followed maintenance manual card 32-96-10 which states that there should be a maximum of 2-3 threads showing. This thread count is maintained even with the spacer missing. There was no aircraft incident.

Title: A B767-300 WAS DISPATCHED IN NON COMPLIANCE WITH NOSE LNDG GEAR WHEEL AND TIRE ASSEMBLIES REPLACED BUT AXLE SPACERS NOT INSTALLED.

Narrative: I WAS INVOLVED IN REPLACING THE L AND R NOSE TIRES ON ACFT. I MAY HAVE INADVERTENTLY LEFT THE SPACERS OUT OF THE INSTALLATION OF THE NEW TIRE/WHEEL ASSEMBLY. I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT THE SPACERS WERE ORIGINALLY THERE. I FOLLOWED MAINT MANUAL CARD 32-96-10 WHICH STATES THAT THERE SHOULD BE A MAX OF 2-3 THREADS SHOWING. THIS THREAD COUNT IS MAINTAINED EVEN WITH THE SPACER MISSING. THERE WAS NO ACFT INCIDENT.
