Narrative:

Upon takeoff from runway 8 at XA20L a loss of thrust and runaway of engine temperature was observed and therefore takeoff was aborted. Due to poor braking action the aircraft ran off the end of the runway, getting stuck in the soil. Braking was applied and spoilers extended. No thrust reversers were installed on this aircraft. Nobody was injured, no damage was done to the aircraft or airport/runway environment. V1 was determined at 108 KTS, mtow was 17476 pounds.
