Narrative:
B727 and MD80 converging/crossing sbound at FL330. Turn B727 to go behind MD80 and get on appropriate sides. Turn attempted to turn MD80 but no response, tried again no response. Then went to previous sector for communications with MD80, but they realized they never talked to the aircraft and went to previous center to get communications. Then turned the B727 to 050 degree heading and climbed to FL350 when able.

Title: ZID CTLR ATTEMPTS, BUT IS UNABLE TO RESOLVE CONFLICT WITH ACFT IN POSSIBLE NORDO CONDITION WITH ANOTHER ENRTE ACFT.
Narrative: B727 AND MD80 CONVERGING/CROSSING SBOUND AT FL330. TURN B727 TO GO BEHIND MD80 AND GET ON APPROPRIATE SIDES. TURN ATTEMPTED TO TURN MD80 BUT NO RESPONSE, TRIED AGAIN NO RESPONSE. THEN WENT TO PREVIOUS SECTOR FOR COMS WITH MD80, BUT THEY REALIZED THEY NEVER TALKED TO THE ACFT AND WENT TO PREVIOUS CENTER TO GET COMS. THEN TURNED THE B727 TO 050 DEG HEADING AND CLBED TO FL350 WHEN ABLE.
